Random Thought (Wizard of Menlo Park)
In 1876, I opened a new laboratory in Menlo Park, New Jersey. I created many inventions in Menlo Park. I invented the phonograph, a carbon button transmitter (microphone), the lightbulb, an induction coil which improved the telephone, the first underground electrical system, and many more inventions. Due to these inventions and 400 more that I patented there, a newspaper journalist nicknamed me "The Wizard of Menlo Park", and it has stuck ever since.
